Regulation of State SAR Air Operations and Training
Introduction
This course is delivered in cooperation with Search and Rescue International (Ltd).
A three-day workshop offering competent authorities/national aviation authorities the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in order to produce national legislation or guidelines for the State activity of search and rescue and thereafter to conduct oversight of Civil SAR Air Operations

- General Requirements for civil SAR Ops
- Operations Manual
- SAR Aircraft Performance
- SAR Crew (Flight Crew and Technical Crew)
- Operating Minima
- Maps and Charts
- Safety Management
- Compliance Monitoring
- SAR Approval process
- Initial Oversight
- Continuing Oversight
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Assist a Competent Authority/National Aviation Authority in developing relevant and robust national regulations/guidelines for search and rescue operations and training in line with international obligations and conventions.
- Develop strategies for the initial and continuous oversight of civil SAR Air operators.

Pre-requisites
- Current or aspirining National Aviation Authority Inspector for SAR (or equivalent)
- Proficiency Level 4 (operational) in English is required.
- Participants are kindly requested to bring a laptop to the workshop to access the materials which will only be provided in electronic format.

3 Days: 09:00 – 16:15 hrs
